IMSA logo combines the form of two cresents facing up. layered on its side with two circles added to both sides to visualize two heads. It represents two people in brotherhood, hand in hand supporting each other for a higher purposes (hereafter) and symbolizing the two closely related countries, America and Indonesia.

• Piety: We strive for God-conscious (taqwa) in all of our work. We advocate the values and principles of Islam for the benefit of all people

• Learning: We have to educate ourselves and others in Islamic and other beneficial knowledge with wisdom, integrity, and sincerity

• Service: We serve the Creator by serving His creation in our community, our country, and all of mankind

• Development: We must grow as individuals and as an organization spiritually, intellectually, and quantitatively

• Partnership: We are eager to cooperate and organize work together with others while holding fast to our principles

The name of the organization is the “Indonesian Muslim Society in America” hereafter referred to as “IMSA”. It shall be a religious, charitable, scientific, literary, educational and not-for-profit organization.

​Toward this end IMSA shall:​

• Organize discussion groups on educational, religious, and scientific topics,
• Undertake and engage in social, charitable and cultural activities,
• Coordinate human and material resources of Indonesian Muslim community,
• Establish cooperative relationship with similar organizations in North America that  have common mission and objectives, and
• Promote understanding and friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims.
